CANACONA
There has been a rise in Covid cases in Canacona taluka, with the Canacona Community Health Centre (CHC) recording 57 active Covid cases on Friday.
CHC Medical Officer Dr Divakarji Velip informed officials at the joint meeting that two persons above 70 years, who had taken the Covid vaccination, had also tested positive in Canacona after coming into contact with Covid patients.
The Covid active cases in various parts of the taluka include Palolem (2), Patnem (7), Tembewada(2), Devabhag (1), Mastimoll (4), Colomb (2), Sheller(1), Chaudi (1), Bhagatwada, Bhikarwada, Char-Rasta (5), Galgibhag (6), Muthal-Sadolxem (1), Agonda (2), Talpona (7), Poinguinim (2) and Bhatpal (1).
So far, 940 people had tested positive for Covid in Canacona and 13 persons succumbed to the disease.
