The details and the fine print about the plots and the auction process is available on the portal www.goaonline.gov.in.
The basic auction rates range at Rs 3645 per sq mtr in Verna Industrial estate, Rs 2295 per sq mtr in Cuncolim and Madkai industrial estates and Rs 1830 in Khorlim industrial estate.
The government is likely to get revenue of more than Rs 200 crores towards the allotment of these plots.
It may be recalled that there were some issues in the earlier allotment of plots with many which were allotted being unutilised. Also some plots had been subleased which created further complications.
The plots include some of the plots that were allotted earlier as SEZ plots but later were taken back by the government.
The government had earlier taken the 38.4 lakh sqm metres of SEZ land back from promoters last year. In order to take the land back government had to refund Rs 256 crore to promoters.
