On the occasion of the Vasco Shree Damodar Bhajani Saptah, the Lions Club of Chicalim Bogmalo in association with Indian Red Cross Society (Mormugao Branch) distributed 2,000 face masks and 2,000 non-woven bags to devotees visiting Damodar temple and to the vendors selling flowers and sweets.
President of Lions Club Chicalim Bogmalo Arnaldo Rego said 95% of the visitors are not wearing masks and requested everyone to wear mask and use non-plastic bags.
Chairperson of Indian Red Cross Society Fiola Rego expressed her gratitude to the temple committee for allowing them to serve the people by distributing masks and non-woven bags. Also present during the distribution was Councillor Shami Salkar, Councillor Vinod Kinlekar, William Cardozo, Shrada Shinde, Jaiamol Naik, Sweta Vashnaye, Joseph Moras and Sunil Rajini.
