A 28-year-old man from Dabolim was killed in a self-accident near the Kia Showroom along the Verna Highway in Sancoale on Sunday night.
Sources in Verna police said the mishap took place as Anup Devidas Saval was moving from Sancoale towards Birla Cross on his scooter.
When he reached near the Kia showroom, he lost the control of his scooter and dashed against a parked stationary trailer body without engine and he suffered multiple injuries and died on the spot.
“He was manager of the Vasco branch of Tirumala Cooperative Society and after conducting the panchanama, the police sent his body for preservation to a morgue. The body was handed over to his family after post mortem on Monday," said the source.
Verna police is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Diago Gracias.
