3 more succumb to Covid, 116 new infections

Three more Covid-related deaths were recorded in Goa on Saturday taking the total victim toll so far to 675.

The deceased persons include a 73-year-old man from Saligao, a 63-year-old woman from Chicalim and a 69-year-old man from Bicholim, all of whom passed away at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.

Meanwhile, 116 new cases were detected in Goa in the last 24 hours. With this, the total confirmed cases have risen to 46,748. Of these, the active cases are 1,261 while 44,812 have recovered. The recovery rate presently stands at 95.86 per cent.

CCP fines people without masks in Panaji

PANAJIThe Corporation of the City of Panaji on Saturday launched a drive to fine the people not using masks at public places in the city.The drive was conducted on weekends when tourists footfall picks up in the city. The drive continued till late night with around 200 people fined for not wearing masks.
