Four persons were arrested in Baga on charges of assaulting a group of tourists and robbing a mobile phone and cash, besides forcing one of the tourists of making an online cash transfer.According to police, the four accused “ Siddesh Madkaikar (Verem), Sahil Shirodkar (Pilerne), Aniket Dabolkar (Verem) and Austin Brito (Santa Cruz) were arrested after four tourists were allegedly assaulted and an iphone 13 and cash of Rs 10,500 were stolen, while one tourist was forced to transfer online cash amount of Rs 5,500.
The accused were later released on conditional bail and have been asked to report at the Calangute Police Station for a period of 5 days. Further investigations are in progress by PSI Viraj Naik.
