4 rescued in separate kayaking incidents at Palolem, Agonda

Four persons were rescued in separate kayaking incidentsat Palolem and Agonda on Sunday and Monday.

According to a Drishti report, a couple who were kayakingin the open sea at Palolem on Sunday morning were knocked over by the waves andlost the kayak to the sea.

The woman panicked and gestured for help. DrishtiLifesaver Ramesh Velip rushed to the couple, secured them onto the jetski andbrought them ashore.

In a similar incident on Monday, a 40-year-old man wasrescued when his kayak overturned at Palolem.

Drishti Lifesaver Laxmikant Sagekar secured the victim toa jetski and brought him to safety.

Agonda also witnessed a kayak-related incident when a30-year-old tourist, who was kayaking in the sea, was knocked over by the wavesand was rescued by lifesaver Bhikash Velip.

All four victims of kayak related incidents are safe. Thelifeguards advised them on the dangers of kayaking in the open sea withoutexperienced personnel to guide them.
