59-year-old man ends life in Vasco

A 59-year-old man ended his life in his house at Mestawada-Vasco in the wee hours of Friday morning.

According to sources, the deceased, Somnath Chari, and his two brothers were a joint family in the house. They were working independently as fabricators in their garage premises at Mestawada.

All of them used to take individual business contracts in the garage, but amid the pandemic, Somnath had less business and was under stress.

The suicide came to light early morning when his wife noticed the body in the kitchen and raised an alarm.

Vasco police have registered a case of unnatural death and is investigating the case.
