The Health Department recorded 39 Covid deaths, including a fully vaccinated person and 1,647 new cases of the infection on Saturday.
The total Covid fatalities in the State have now increased to 2,341 while the active count stands at 18,243.
The daily positivity rate continues to remain high and was 35.95 per cent on Saturday.
Among the 39 deceased was a 100 year-old man from Navelim who passed away at a private hospital in South Goa and a 70 year-old person from Candolim, who had taken both doses of Covid vaccine, succumbed to the infection. He is the second known case of a fully vaccinated patient passing away due to Covid-19.
