Aggrieved by court stay, complainant approaches HC

Disqualification of members of the Rumdamol Panchayat by Salcete BDO and the subsequent stay granted by the South Goa district Court has reached the High Court.

Aggrieved by the stay order granted by the South Goa district Court on the disqualification judgement of the Salcete BDO, complainant Mukesh Naik has knocked the doors of the High Court on Monday.

The petitioner has challenged the order of the South Goa district Court staying the BDO’s order on disqualification of the four Rumdamol Panchayat members.

Hearing of the petition is expected to take place in the High Court on Tuesday.
