Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik appealed to the professionals to make Agriculture a profitable venture which is now being affected by factors like unfavourable nature and wild animal attack.
"The nature has become adverse to the agriculture. Unseasonal rain, Animals are destroying agricultural produce. Monkeys are destroying the fruit plantation. Now cashews seeds also eaten by some animals. In this condition the farmers are suffering. Finally farmers end up with no profit", said Naik.
"In this situation we have to study. If people find that Agriculture is profitable business then people will come to agriculture", added Naik.
Naik said that the middle man between the farmer and consumers should be reduced.
