PANAJI
All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer and MP Rajani Patil will arrive in the State on Tuesday to review the party’s performance in the recent assembly elections.
Sources said Patil will seek feedback from candidates who contested assembly elections and GPCC office bearers.
Patil will convene a meeting with GPCC members of North in the North Goa district office at Mapusa on Wednesday morning. She will also meet former ministers, senior leaders and chiefs of frontal organisations at the Panaji office later in the evening.
On Thursday, Patil will meet candidates and seek their feedback in the South Goa district office at Margao
Patil has been appointed by Congress President Sonia Gandhi to obtain feedback from MLAs, assembly candidates, PCC office bearers and others regarding the party’s below par performance in the recent assembly elections, which secured them 11 of the 40 seats.
Congress Goa election incharge P Chidambaram has already attributed the division of anti-BJP votes and failure of Congress to reach out the people to channelise the anti-BJP votes to Congress at the reason for the poor performance.
