Slamming the BJP for making life difficult for the common man, former minister, Michael Lobo on Saturday appealed to people of Goa to pack the BJP candidates home on February 14 when they press the EVM button.
“Campaigning has reached the last day. I am appealing to the people of Goa to stand united and send this corrupt, double engine home. All the BJP candidates should be shown the door,” Lobo said, while addressing the media at his residence.
He said that when he was a minister he had fought with CM Pramod Sawant on several issues affecting Goa, but the CM was controlled by a Super CM.
“Our senior AICC leader, Rahul Gandhi has assured to scrap the three linear projects and our Goa leader Digambar Kamat has promised to scrap the GoaMiles after coming to power,” Lobo said.
He said the BJP-led government’s priorities were misplaced on due to this several Goans like motorcycle pilots had to suffer.
“Our CM was interested in building a convention hall and IT Park when people had no money to get a square meal a day,” he said.
He further said several people had lost lives due to Covid and the Congress government after coming to power will immediately clear all the dues of the people
He also said the government had failed to pay the Laadli Laxmi scheme money for the last four years.
