Yet another teacher in a school in Caranzalem tested positive late Sunday evening forcing the school to temporarily shut physical classes resumed for its class X students for three days from Monday.
The school is expected to restart these physical classes on Thursday after the teacher's contacts are traced and tested.
Earlier on Monday and Tuesday of last week, one teacher each from High Schools in Usgao and Cujira had tested positive forcing the two institutions in North Goa to suspend the physical classes.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who also holds the education portfolio, had then directed that teachers who have family members testing positive for the coronavirus should abstain from taking physical classes.
A couple of other schools had also suspended physical classes last week after one student each had contracted the virus.
