The Bombay High Court at Goa has adjourned the criminal revision application filed by Pooja Sharma, absconding accused in the Assagao house demolition case, to Thursday.
The adjournment was due to the absence of the public prosecutor. However, during the brief hearing, Sharma’s legal representative appealed to the Bench that the application be converted into a fresh anticipatory bail plea. This plea will be considered on Thursday when the hearing resumes.
Sharma challenged the Sessions Court order that dismissed her anticipatory bail plea, directing that her custodial interrogation is necessary. The SIT-CB has so far failed to track her whereabouts, while three notices for interrogation returned sans reply.
