A bike thief, hailing from Tamil Nadu was caught red handed while committing the theft of a motorcycle at the Old market area of the city on Saturday.
The thief was later handed over to the Fatorda police for further action.
PSI Amin Naik, attached to the Fatorda police station informed that the miscreant, a native of Tamil Nadu, was employed at a hotel at the Salcete coastal belt.
He said the police have arrested the accused and is investigating if he was part of any group involved in lifting two-wheelers.
