BJP candidates Kartik Kudnekar and Suvarna Tendulkar are all set to head as chairpersons of the Zilla Panchayat for North Goa and South Goa respectively.
While Diksha Kandolkar is set to become the vice-chairperson of North constituency and Khushali Velip as the vice-chairperson of South constituency with no other candidates in the fray.
Majority BJP party ZP members unanimously decided the names and on Thursday nominations were filed. Earlier, BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade informed about the unanimous nomination of the candidates.
It was scheduled to be decided about presidents and vice-presidents on Friday, however, no other nominations came as all BJP candidates were declared elected unanimously.
Elected North Goa ZP president Kartik Kudnekar is been elected from Socorro constituency while Suvarna Tendulkar is elected from the Sanvordem constituency.
Out of 50 ZP seats in Goa, elections were held in 48 seats. As the results were out on December 15, BJP emerged as the single largest party in these elections winning 33 seats.
Congress got four seats while NCP and AAP won one each. Independents won 7 seats.
BJP has won in 19 constituencies in North Goa while in South Goa, BJP has won in 14 constituencies.
