BJP sends SOS to Centre for flood relief

MAPUSA
Asserting that the State has been struck with the worst ever floods, State BJP President Sadanand Tanavade on Saturday requested the Centre to provide relief to all Goans who have been affected due to the floods.

He also said the party will soon launch a helpline number so that those in need can call on the number for help.

“We appeal to the Centre to support the State which has been struck with such an enormous natural calamity. We have hopes that the Union government will do all it can to mitigate the sufferings of the flood-affected people of the State,” Tanavade said.

He said the government has been doing everything within its power to reach out to those people who have been severely affected due to the floods.

“The government officials are on their toes assessing the damage and providing relief to those who have been affected,” he said.

“Our CM has been doing a commendable job visiting the flood-affected places to get firsthand information of the situation,” he added.
