MARGAO
The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao has discharged former Minister Mickky Pacheco and two others in a case of driving on the beach.
The trio has been discharged in the case with the court passing an order for the proceedings to be closed.
A complaint was lodged against the former MLA and two others on March 11, 2018 for use of filthy language and driving over a parachute of the complainant at the Betalbatim beach. The complaint further stated that the accused allegedly drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner, nearly hitting the complainant’s son.
The police registered a case under section 336, 504, 506(ii) r/w 34 IPC.
Mickky, however, had alleged that politics was behind the attempt to frame him in the case, saying the complainant has been his political opponent.
