Amid a huge crowd of people attending the poll rally on Saturday, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant aimed another volley of criticism at Congress’ North Goa candidate Ramakant Khalap alleging the former union law minister and his family were directly responsible for the irregularities that beset the Mapusa Urban Cooperative Bank.
He claimed that the people should be aware of the deeds of the Congress as well as the background of opposition candidates.
Sawant alleged that Khalap had swindled 3.50 lakh Goans and pointed to Khalap's own admission of the Congress party's involvement in the crisis that affected the Mapusa Urban Bank.
Sawant also aimed criticism at Congress’ South Goa candidate Viriato Fernandes over his controversial remarks. He also referenced a viral audio clip wherein Fernandes purportedly “exposed Vijai Sardesai's true nature”
“He exposed what Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao and his father did to Goa,” CM said.
The party leaders also hailed numerous initiatives started by the BJP in the last 10 years along with bringing overall development and respect for the nation across the world.
