Chief Minister Pramod Sawant released the logo on 60th year of Goa’s Liberation beginning from December 19 to December 19, 2021, at his official residence Altinho on Thursday.
Sanjay Kumar, (IAS) Secretary, Information and Publicity and Sudhir Kerkar, Director, Department of Information and Publicity were present at the occasion.
The logo submitted by Bhavesh Velingkar from Gothan, Veling, Mardol, Ponda was adjudged as the best logo amongst the 164 entries received from Goan individuals to design the unique logo. Committee constituted for selection of logo comprised of Joint Director, Information and Publicity, Chairman, Deputy Director of Art and Culture, Information Officer, (DIP) and Prof Mahendra Chodankar as the members.
The winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000. It may be noted that the State government as a part of the 60th year of Goa’s Liberation had decided to hold a unique logo contest to commemorate the yearlong celebration creating a distinct identity. The logo will be displayed on every correspondence of the government till December 19, 2021.
