CM slams Rahul's speech targeting India, democracy

PANAJI

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant took to Twitter on Saturday to lash out at what seemed to be a ‘Made in China’ presentation & speech Rahul Gandhi delivered at Cambridge.

"All his comments too, targeted India while praising China. Was Rahul providing a ‘fund utilisation certificate’ for all the donations his party & foundations received from China?," he tweeted.

The CM said that in what was disguised as an attack on PM Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi’s speech was a brutal attack on India & its democracy. He tried to portray India in a bad light on foreign soil as if that was the sole agenda of his speech.

Sawant further tweeted, "He (Rahul) spoke about how “he saw the militants in Kashmir” & how “they saw him”. Even if this was to be true, Rahul Gandhi leaves a lot of questions unanswered: Why did he not bring this up to the notice of our security agencies? Who assured him that militants would not harm him or his rally?"

Rahul Gandhi’s deep connection with terrorists was exposed when he spoke their language by calling Pulwama terror attack a ‘car bomb that killed 40 soldiers’. Both Rahul & his party Congress have had a soft corner for Pakistan, and it was on full display yesterday, Sawant tweeted.

"His comment is an insult to all our brave soldiers & martyrs. Rahul’s speech yet again gave away his love for China & his love for the communist leaders. His acceptance that communist leaders shaped his thoughts show how Rahul has an anti-India mindset, " the CM tweeted.
