Claiming there was sufficient stock of Covid vaccines with around 65,000 vaccines still available in the State, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday it would be his responsibility to ensure there is no shortage of vaccines in the State.
Speaking to reporters in the port town, Sawant said the Covid vaccination drive is going on at full pace under the 'Tika Utsav' campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"We have sufficient stock of vaccines and as of now, we have around 65,000 vaccines readily available. If required, we will easily get more vaccines in future. There will be no shortage of Covid vaccines in the State and I take this responsibility as chief minister,” said Sawant.
“The government has been taking up the vaccination drive at the panchayat level and there has been a good response from the people. For the first time, Goa achieved the highest vaccination of around 10,000 persons on Wednesday,” said the chief minister, while appealing to all people above 45 years to take the vaccine.
