The active Covid cases in Vasco Urban Health Centre has finally dropped below the 200-mark.
In what could be a good news, the place from where the Covid-19 infection all began in the State, the number of active cases in Vasco has been steadily on the decline in the last few days.
Vasco, which saw a huge rise in Covid cases some days back also was the location for Goa’s first containment zone in Mangor.
Mormugao taluka which once topped the charts of the health bulletin for a very long time has now seen the figures declining steadily over the last few days.
While cases in Vasco UHC have declined, the cases in Cansaulim PHC have dropped by around 50 per cent to around 67 in the last one week from around 150 cases a few days ago.
On Sunday, the health bulletin showed that the cases in Mormugao taluka were below the 400-mark. Vasco UHC recorded around 174 cases, Cortalim PHC 151 and Cansaulim around 67 cases as per the health bulletin on Sunday.
Meanwhile, doctors at the Chicalim SDH have advised the people to be cautious and careful and not take any chances with the Covid-19 infection and celebrate Navratri festival with precautions by maintaining social distance and using masks and sanitisers so that the declining cases are under control.
