Customer flees with rented car from Vasco

Vasco police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust after a rented vehicle was allegedly taken out of Goa and misappropriated by the accused.

In a complaint filed by Shivanand Talwar of Mangor-Vasco, the incident occurred on June 16 at around 9 am near ‘Luxury Car Wonders’ on Airport Road, Dabolim.

The accused, identified as Prashant Singh from Madhya Pradesh, reportedly hired a white-coloured Fortuner SUV on a rental basis and later fled with the vehicle outside the State.

Following the complaint, Vasco police registered an offence under Section 316(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prisley Carvalho under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
