The driver of a Telangana-registered SUV was booked by Mapusa police after two children were found asleep on the rooftop of the moving vehicle at Madani-Parra.
Mapusa police took cognisance of video which went viral on social media showing two children asleep on the rooftop of the SUV while the vehicle was in motion at Madani on December 26.
Some onlookers stopped the car and confronted the driver. The children were then made to get off the rooftop.
Mapusa police later registered a case against the car driver under Sections 279 and 336 of IPC.
Constable Keshav Naik is conducting further investigation under the guidance of Police Inspector Sitakant Naik.
