The Directorate of Education on Tuesday issued a corrigendum extending the Christmas vacation by one day till January 1, 2021.
The Christmas break is scheduled to commence from December 24.
Meanwhile, Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has issued a circular to all heads of recognized secondary and higher secondary schools urging them to send their authorized representatives along with authority letter to collect the pending 2020 passing certificate of SSCE and HSSCE to the GBSHSE office between December 16 and 23as per the allocated date and timing. The distribution will take place from 10am to 5pm on each assigned day.
The passing certificates for the batch of 2020 Std X and XII had yet to be distributed owing to the Covid pandemic.
On December 16, the certificates of Std XII will be handed over to schools from Bardez, Pernem, Bicholim and Sattari talukas. On December 17, certificates will be handed over schools from Canacona, Sanguem, Salcete and Quepem. On December 18, certificates will be distributed to schools from Mormugao, Tiswadi, Dharbandora and Ponda talukas.
The distribution of Class X certificates will begin on December 21 with schools from Bardez, Sattari, Bicholim, and Pernem talukas.
On December 22, Std X passing certificates will be distributed to schools from Canacona, Quepem, Salcete and Sanguem talukas. Schools from Tiswadi, Mormugao, Ponda and Dharbandora talukas will receive the passing certificates of their students on December 23.
