Covid positive cases declined further in Margao on Friday and so were the admissions at the district hospital and ESI hospital, leaving around 206 beds vacant at the two hospitals.
Doctors at the district hospital and the ESI hospital informed that the beds available at the two hospitals have crossed 200 on Friday.
With the district hospital adding around 63 additional beds on Friday, the number of beds in the hospital has gone up to 568. District hospital nodal officer Dr Rajesh Patil said around 158 beds are lying vacant at the district hospital. While the district hospital recorded around 41 admissions on Friday, around 40 patients were discharged today.
At the ESI hospital, Medical Superintendent, Dr Vishwajit Faldesai informed that a total of 48 beds were available in the ESI hospital on Friday, bringing down the hospital bed occupancy to 187.
The ESI hospital saw around 35 new admissions on Friday and discharged around 29 patients.
