GMC doctors pen e-book on current TB trends

A group of senior faculty and doctors of the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) have penned an e-book on current trends in Tuberculosis, the biggest killer among infectious diseases and which is showing signs of rising again worldwide after the Covid-19 interruptions in public health interventions.
The e-book 'Current Trends in Tuberculosis' covers clinical diagnosis, laboratory diagnosis, imaging, treatment, HIV and TB, pediatric TB, TB in the elderly and TB and haematology.
Edited by Dr R G Wiseman Pinto, who heads the GMC's pathology department and also the Asian Society of Cytopathology, contributors to the e-book include senior professor at GMC, Dr Edwin Gomes, former head of Microbiology department Dr Savio Rodrigues, Dr Sanjivani Keny, Dr Vaishali Joshi, Dr Mahadev Swamy, Dr Wanda Viegas, Dr Swapnil Solanki, Dr Swizzel Pereira and Dr Cigy Borges.
The e-book was officially released recently and is uploaded on the www.pathoindia.com website.
