Goa govt acquires land in Ayodhya for Goa Ram Nivas

PANAJI: The Goa Government has acquired a plot in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, to construct Goa Ram Nivas. 

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, while announcing the new move, stated the nIvas will a dedicated space for devotees of Lord Ram, particularly from Goa. 

He stated it a significant step in strengthening the spiritual and cultural bond between Goa and Ayodhya.  

"The dream of a grand Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has now become a reality, reviving our rich spiritual heritage. In alignment with this historic milestone, Goa Ram Nivas will serve as a sacred and assured place of stay for devotees visiting Ayodhya," the CM stated.  

He also extended gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad, the UP Government and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their support in facilitating the initiative.

MARGAOA study conducted by the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) has officially confirmed that the 35,000 tonnes of waste left behind at the Cuncolim Industrial Estate by Ms Sunrise Zinc nearly two decades ago is hazardous in nature.
