With the pandemic situation yet to come within its grip, the State government is still clueless over the decision regarding reopening of schools for the current academic year.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said no decision has yet been taken although officials of the education department are in the process of engaging with stakeholders.
Sawant said, unless there is a consensus among all the stakeholders, a decision to restart physical classes is unlikely to be in the affirmative.
He was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the function to launch Dishtavo, the online teaching learning YouTube platform set up by the Higher Education Department.
Earlier last week, in new unlock SOPs issued by the MHA, States have been permitted to take a decision on re-opening schools after October 15.
