The State government has decided to grant an additional four days of casual leave for persons with disabilities (PwDs) working in government departments. The order issued by the Personnel Department states that the additional days will be granted as ‘Special Casual Leave.’
“It is recommended that the number of Casual Leave available for employees with disabilities should be 12 days as against eight days for other employees and it has been decided that the additional benefit of four days leave shall be granted in the form of Special Casual Leave,” reads the official communiqué by Under Secretary (Personnel-II) Avit Naik to the Directorate of Social Welfare.
Meanwhile, officials informed that for the upcoming International Purple Fest Goa 2024, a new theme Corporate Pavilion will be curated from January 8 “ January 13. The activities will include diversity and inclusion walkathon, inclusive product and service exhibitions, thought leadership forums, employment assistance, speed-o-mentoring - to help potential diversity candidates seek mentoring from industrial leaders' experience; and ‘Aapka Sawaal, Humara Jawab - wherein corporates and delegates will discuss on solutions to various constituencies of diversity with the purpose of bringing diversity and corporate delegates closer.
