Colvale Police rushed to the spot after they received information from the control room that a body was floating in the well.
The body was fished out of the well with the help of the fire brigade personnel.
Sources informed that a stone was found tied around the waist of the woman.
“There were no injuries visible on the body which was highly decomposed. It appears the incident may have occurred at least six days ago,” a police official informed.

Meanwhile, police are trying to find the identity of the woman. Incidentally, no missing report was filed at the Colvale Police.
“We are checking with other police stations whether any missing report was filed within their jurisdictions,” a police official said.
