Calangute police arrested a man from Shiroda-Sawantwadi on charges of molesting a woman in Candolim.
Police said the incident took place on Wednesday at about 6 pm when the victim was walking near Bosio Hospital. The accused, Derrel A Fernandes, who is employed at a hotel along the Candolim-Sinquerim coast, is alleged to have grabbed her and pulled her. As a result, she fell on the road.
Acting on a police complaint, police registered a case and arrested the suspect at night. Further investigation is being conducted under the guidance of Police Inspector Paresh Naik.
