Trying to give an example that he is ready to take up any responsibility that the party offers, MLA Nilesh Cabral said that he is ready to become the Chief Minister, if the party wants him to take it.
“Tomorrow I can also be CM if the party decides…you think I will not take the chief ministership if the party asks? Pramod Sawant may be taken to Centre as a Minister…it is the decision of the party and I will abide by it,” he said quickly adding “There is no such discussion that took place between him and party leaders in New Delhi”.
“I am just giving an example...I am ready to take any responsibility …I am with the party…ultimately the aim of the party is to deliver to the people …,” he said while also ruling out the possibility of him contesting on the party ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from South Goa constituency.
