PANAJI: To ease traffic congestion on the Mandovi bridges during peak evening hours, the Panaji Traffic Cell has planned to reroute Goa-Mumbai interstate buses onto Atal Setu and adjust their departure time to after 7 pm. The Panaji Traffic Cell has already conducted a successful two-day trial based on which the plan has been unveiled.
“We observed that these buses were obstructing other vehicles, which resulted in traffic chaos. We thus decided to redirect these buses to Atal Setu and reschedule their departure until 7 pm,” Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Sidhant Shirodkar told The Goan.
