Ivory Coast native held with drugs worth Rs 31,000

A national of the Ivory Coast was arrested with the possession of illegal drugs in the wee hours of Sunday, Anjuna Police said.

According to police, the accused, Clement Comenan (30) presently residing at Parra, was apprehended at Assagao.

Acting on specific information, a team of Anjuna Police conducted a raid near Happy Bar junction, Assagao and apprehended the accused who was found in possession of narcotic drugs suspected to be Cocaine weighing 3.1 grams and worth Rs 31,000.

The illegal drug was seized and the accused arrested under Section 20 (b) of the NDPS Act.

PSI Akshay Parsekar is investigating the matter under the supervision of Anjuna PI Suraj Gawas.
