Stating that many leaders from BJP and other parties are in contact with him, GPCC president Girish Chodankar claimed that even BJP workers are expressing their desire to defeat BJP.
Chodankar made the statement while interacting with reporters on the sidelines of a function at Corlim.
“Many leaders of BJP and other parties are in contact with me to defeat the BJP. Some are in contact with me openly, some secretly and some over the phone. Even BJP workers are expressing their desire to defeat the BJP. Today, the BJP has sidelined its workers and we are ready to take their support,” Chodankar added.
On his statement made that MLA Pandurang Madkaikar will support Congress candidate in Cumbarjua, Chodankar said, “Madkaikar will not get the BJP ticket and therefore he will extend support to our candidate,” he said.
On the demand made for early finalization of tickets, Chodankar said that first the reorganisation process will be completed and then process of ticket finalization will be decided.
