A group of locals of Loliem-Polem have plans to challenge resolutions by Loliem-Polem Comunidade, particularly on allotment of land, before authorities and if needed, may approach the courts if justice is denied by authorities.
According to Manoj Prabhugaonkar, some villagers, Keshav Temple Mahajans and even some Comunidade members have blamed the Loliem-Polem Comunidade of selling the common land for commercial activities.
“It's not only the land allotment for the proposed Film City, but Loliem-Polem Comunidade is clandestinely passing resolutions to allot large chunks of Comunidade land for non-agriculture and non-traditional usages,” said Prabhugaonkar.
“We will not remain quiet, but we will present objections of villagers of plans to concretise the ‘common lands’ in the village meant to be preserved for future generations.”
