London woman found dead in rented room at Galgibaga

CANACONA
A 61-year-old woman from London was found dead in a rented room at Galgibaga on Friday morning.
According to Canacona police, Katherine Mary Babington had been staying in the rented room at Galgibaga for the last four months.
On Friday at about 9.15 am, Katherine’s sister, Rosemary Patricia, went to the room and found Katherine lying on her bed and not responsive.
She was shifted in an 108 ambulance to Canacona Community Health Centre, where a doctor on duty declared her dead on arrival.
Police were informed that the deceased was having breathing problems and had been under medication for the ailment.
Police conducted a panchanama at the scene and sent the body to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal formalities.
Canacona police have registered a case of unnatural death, and PSI Babu Dessai is conducting further investigations.
