Verna police arrested a 37-year-old man from Kalahandi-Odisha on charges of possessing 1.107 kgs of Ganja valued at Rs 1.1 lakh. According to information, the accused Nayak Sen was nabbed in an open plot near the Umiya Habitat building, Zuarinagar during an NDPS raid carried out by PSI Shridhar Kamat.
Sen was found in an illegal possession of two boxes containing leafy substance suspected to be ganja and weighing 1.107 kgs, all worth Rs 1,10,000.
An offence has been registered at Vasco police station and the accused Sen is arrested under the NDPS Act. Verna police station is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Diogo Gracias and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
