Man rescued from 100-feet gorge of falls bordering Goa

BELAGAVI

Khanapur police have rescued a person who fell into a 100-feet deep gorge of Chickale Falls bordering Goa.

Vinayak, Darshan and Vinay from Belagavi had gone to the falls on Monday morning. At that time, 20-year-old Vinayak Sunil Buthulkar was riding a two-wheeler from the edge of the waterfall when he fell down 100-feet from the cliff into an empty valley along with the bike.

Fortunately, he was saved and the Khanapur police tried to bring him up from the valley with the help of Chikhle villagers.

Under the guidance of Khanapur Police Inspector Ramchandra Nayak, Jagdish Kadroli of Jamboti Police Substation, driver Vasu Parsekar and Sanjay Arjun Patil of Chikhli and Vishal Telanga of Chikhle village pulled the youth out of the valley.

Vishnu Yashwant Patil, Balu Gawde, Raju Madiwal and Venkatesh Telanga managed to get Vinayaka safely out of the valley. Khanapur police have registered a case for reckless driving.
