Tension rent the air in Margao on late Monday after two groups of Shiv Premis came face to face over some issue during the rally taken out in the city in the evening.

The other group also made their presence felt outside the police station before the two groups came face to face.
After finding the float carrying the life size statue of Shivaji Maharaj outside the police station, the second group decided to take the float, on ground that it cannot be parked near the police station.
This group of Shiv Premis pushed the float to take it back home, but were stopped by the a team of Margao police led by Police inspector Tulsidas Naik near the Eagle showroom, opposite the old Collectorate.
Taking no chances, the police brought additional reinforcements from Cuncolim police as a precautionary measure. A team of Cuncolim police led by PI Diogo Gracias also rushed to Margao with a posse of policemen.
It was finally agreed that the float would be left near the Eagle showroom during the night. Both the groups have been called at the Margao police station on Tuesday morning by PI Tulsidas Naik to resolve the issue between the two groups.
