MMC vice-chairperson moots installing CCTV, erecting fencing at black spot

MARGAO

Margao Municipal Vice-Chairperson Deepali Sawal has mooted installation of Closed Circuit TV surveillance cameras to monitor the miscreants dumping waste at the black spot at the Calconda-Station road.

She has also called for erecting fencing at the entrance to the railway footbridge from the Calconda side to keep the miscreants at bay.

“After it was brought to my notice that dry and mixed waste has accumulated at the entrance to the footbridge on the Calconda side, I immediately got in touch with the waste collector and cleared the entire site of the waste”, Deepali said.

She, however, pointed out that clearing the waste will not solve the problem unless CCTV cameras and fencing is installed at the place.
