In a significant political development in Aldona, dynamic grassroots leaders including deputy Sarpanches, Panch members and Nachinola BJP booth President joined Goa Trinamool Congress today in the presence of Goa TMC President Kiran Kandolkar.
Prominent among those who joined are Panch member - Reena Govekar, deputy Panch members - Deonisa Dsouza, Sanjana S Kambli, Sunil Kambli, Sudesh Khalap, former Deputy Sarpanches - Babani Parsekar, Sanjivani S Khalap and former BJP Aldona booth President Prashant Kavlekar who were all inducted into Goa TMC in Aldona earlier on Tuesday.
Addressing the media, Reena Govekar said, ‘After witnessing the work that TMC has been doing on-ground especially their focus on women and youth, I’ve decided to join Goa TMC.’
Reena Govekar also lashed out at BJP MLA in Aldona Glenn Ticlo and highlighted his negligence during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Welcoming the new members, Kiran Kandolkar said that slowly but steadily Goa TMC had become the voice of the voiceless. Taking a dig at the mismanagement in Aldona by Glenn Ticlo, he added, ‘Over the last 10 years, people in Aldona have been suffering due to the MLA’s carelessness. It is time we throw him out and pave the way for good governance here.’
