A 34-year-old agent from Mumbai has been arrested by Mapusa police on charges of sexually assaulting a Mumbai-based model at Mapusa.
According to reports, the accused, Wajid Mansori, called 25-year-old model to his rented flat in Mapusa under the pretext of offering her work at shooting projects in Goa. He had also assured her to give a safe place to stay. He is then accused of having sexually assaulted the woman and stealing Rs 40,000 in cash from the victim.
The victim later contacted the Police Control Room and the Mapusa Police then took her to the station. The accused was later arrested under Sections 342, 323, 376 and 380 of IPC.
PSI Rupali Govekar is further investigating the case under the guidance of PI Tushar Lotlikar.
