Navelim locals fast, pray on 35th day of satyagraha

OLD GOA
Extending their support to the Old Goa satyagraha, a group of locals from Navelim constituency fasted and prayed as the agitation against the controversial structure completed 35 days on Tuesday.

Prominent among those present were Telaulim panch Milagrina Ferrao, social activist Bento Silva from Navelim, and others.

The parish priest of Our lady of Rosary Church, Navelim also participated in the fast satyagraha along with Fr Nelson Sequeira, professor at Rachol Seminary.
