Goenkar - Ek Pavl Ekcharachem has on Saturday said the association of like-minded people have decided to support the Margao Civic Alliance comprising of Fatorda Fatorda and Model Margao as the Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai has promised to rescind all the destructive projects underway in the State.
The association has congratulated and thanked the Goa Forward president for withdrawing from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) with immediate effect proving his grit, sincerity, foresight and tolerance.
The NGO said that Vijai has been a staunch member of the Opposition over the past two years where Goans have been a witness to daylight destruction of Goa by nationalisation of our rivers, losing our Mhadei river to Karnataka, coal hub and coal corridor through forcibly implementing the 3 linear projects viz double tracking, expansion of national highway 4A and Tamnar.
“Sardesai has stood stoically in holding the government accountable and worked zealously to limit the scope of plundering Goa and raise awareness amongst the people, motivating them to move forward to a new era and renewal of hopes for the people of Goa. In this fight against want on destruction of Goa, Vijai has stood with us and also assured us that when he comes to power he will rescind all the above said destructive projects going on in Goa,” the NGO said.
