DGP Mukesh Kumar Meena said the Old Goa police station would soon have a new building as the plans for the same have been finalised.
Speaking to the media, Meena said, “We have plans for building a new police station at Old Goa at the same place. The design has been finalised and the formalities are being worked out,” he stated.
Commenting on the police outpost at Santa Cruz, Meena said it would be headed by a PSI and 12 constables will be posted.
“A PSI will be heading the outpost with 12 constables but depending on requirements we may increase the number.”
It will help in controlling the crime in the village because a full-time police officer will be posted here which will help in improving the overall security in Santa Cruz,” he informed and stated that the facilities at the outpost are on par with any police station.
