Mapusa police arrested a Chimbel resident for allegedly possessing illegal narcotic substance. The alleged accused Shamshu Khan (26) has been nabbed for possessing Ganja worth Rs 80,000.
Acting on specific inputs, a team of Mapusa police led by LPSI Reecha Bhonsle conducted a raid behind the new Mapusa bus-stand and apprehended the alleged accused Shamshu Khan a resident of Indiranagar, Chimbel.
The accused was arrested under Section 20 (b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act. The narcotic substance suspected to be Ganja weighing 800 gms worth Rs 80,000 has been seized from the accused.
The raid was conducted under overall supervision of SP North Shivendu Bhushan (IPS), Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi and PI Somnath Mahajik.
